Fatoumata Diawara’s Massa tops the Transglobal World Music Chart for July 2026. The Malian singer, songwriter, and guitarist’s new album reflects on motherhood, faith, memory, and resilience. In addition, it honors her late father and addresses social issues, including strained relationships, betrayal, jealousy, and tensions within polygamous families. Under the artistic direction of French pop artist -M-, Diawara combines Malian traditions with pop.
