Richard Wileman (Karda Estra) has joined forces with English folk singer Chantelle Smith for a new folk horror album titled Samhain Tree. The duo has unveiled the first single, “Wheel Of Fortune,” alongside a mesmrizing video featuring scenes filmed around Avebury in southwestern England.
Smith and Wileman previously collaborated on Wileman’s 2024 solo album The Forked Road. After those sessions, the pair decided to continue working together and develop a new collection of unconventional folk songs and instrumentals. Their material draws from experimental ambient improvisation, traditional storytelling, and darker folk influences.
