Andy Leftwich Releases Dynamic Instrumental Video for “Aced”

Andy Leftwich has unveiled the music video for his new single, “Aced,” an energetic and complex instrumental piece. The track is characterized by arpeggiated melodies, intricate rhythms, and a dynamic arrangement of solos and ensemble sections. It opens with guitarist Cody Kilby’s delicate notes, layered over mandolin rhythms. The melody quickly evolves, with rising and falling lines creating a sense of momentum.

Throughout the piece, Leftwich’s fiddle is joined by Mark House’s bass and Scott Menefee’s banjo, as the musicians trade solos and work in unison to deliver fast-paced exchanges. The arrangement seamlessly moves from solo performances to tight ensemble work, maintaining the listener’s focus with its intricate variations and energetic flow, as visually mirrored in the video.

When you get pickers like Cody Kilby, Byron House, and Matt Menefee together, good things happen,” says Leftwich. “These guys are ‘Aces’ at their craft, and I’m honored they would pick with me on this song!”

As musicians,” adds Leftwich, “we know that the journey never ends. You’re always trying to be better at your craft, always exploring new ways to approach certain things in music, and forever growing and learning. Every once in a while, you begin to see results of your hard work, and it begins to pay off.”
