On Sunday, March 2, 2025, acclaimed Palestinian oud and violin virtuoso Simon Shaheen will lead an ensemble in a special performance at Corpus Christi Church, New York City. Recognized as one of the foremost Arab musicians of his generation, Shaheen combines traditional and contemporary styles with masterful technique and emotional depth.
This concert, part of the Origins Series, highlights the rich musical heritage of Palestine alongside influences from Syria and Lebanon. The program will feature intricate folk melodies and improvisations, highlighting the ensemble’s deep-rooted connection to Levantine traditions.
