The Latin GRAMMY Session: Flamenco to Air Friday, November 10th at 8 am EST.

The audiovisual piece Latin GRAMMY Session: Flamenco is set to air on Friday, November 10th at 8 am EST. It features flamenco, a precious symbol of Andalusia’s identity, presenting a small portrait of the genre as it exists today. The production includes traditional pieces that remain highly relevant, along with others that demonstrate flamenco’s strong influence on young artists who are forging their own musical paths.

The piece was filmed in Granada, Spain, in the incomparable setting of the Alhambra, a World Heritage Site, as well as the Hotel Alhambra Palace. It will feature spaces that stand out for their beauty, architecture and history, under the musical direction of Javier Limón, composer, producer, guitarist, teacher, writer, and winner of several Latin GRAMMYs.

The Latin GRAMMY Sessions features Latin GRAMMY nominee, Carmen Linares, who will receive the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award; Latin GRAMMY winners Arcángel and Niña Pastori as well as Lola Indigo, Alana Sinkëy and Latin GRAMMY nominee Omar Montes, who is joined by dancer Belén López.

University of Granada professor and writer José Javier León Sillero serves as a project advisor.
