The Secret Museum of Mankind: Atlas of Instruments, Fiddles, Vol 1 has released two music videos. The two songs, “Okukomawe” by Abadongo Abaganda (Uganda) and “Volana Fenomanana (Fandihizana Malagasy)” by Orchestre de M. Michel Ratsimba (Madagascar), will appear in the upcoming album. Release date is September 15, 2023, on Jalopy Records.
The new anthology is a continuation of the series Secret Museum, of world music recordings from the first half of the 20th century, that’s been running since 1995. This edition focuses on fiddle music.
