(sic)Trio - Jerga

(sic)Trio, Jazz Meets Argentine Tango

(sic)Trio – Jerga (ears&eyes Records, 2022)

Jerga is the debut album by (sic)Trio, an act that masterfully brings together tango, jazz and the avant-garde. The lineup includes Adolfo Trepiana on bandoneon; Noel Morroni on piano; and Ignacio Coppolecchia on drums.

Bandoneon master and composer Adolfo Trepiana and virtuoso pianist and composer Noel Morroni met at the beginning of their musical careers as a part of the thriving scene of the New Tango in Buenos Aires. Years later, they have come together again to record their own original music. Indeed, the two artists have developed a unique and captivating form of tango expression in combination with jazz, rock, and avant-garde music with the help of the third musician in the trio, skilled drummer Nacho Coppolecchia.
