This fascinating compilation features several recordings by Sephardic Algerian singer Lili Boniche made between 1958 and 1960. The songs on “Trésors De La Chanson Judéo-Arabe” were remastered in 2014.
Boniche was one of the finest performers of Arab-Andalusian music at the time. This album contains a wide range of musical styles, including traditional Algerian sounds, Arab-Andalusian music, Argentine tango, North African and Latin American rhythms, and jazz.
