Trailblazing Brazilian singer Flora Purim is back with a superb, new album after 15 years. On “If You Will”, Flora delights with her seductive vocals, an infectious mix of irresistible Brazilian rhythms and cutting edge jazz fusion.

If You Will” is envisioned as a celebration of her music and collaborations. The album features new compositions together with recreations of some of her favorite songs and positive lyrics from throughout her extensive and acclaimed career.

The title track ‘If You Will’ is a new version of a song from her fantastic collaborations with fusion and funk-jazz keyboard maestro George Duke: “You will find… good love, real joy, so much peace of mind, if you will…”.

Flora also celebrates other collaborators like Airto Moreira, the late Chick Corea and Claudia Villela.

The album “If You Will” highlights Flora’s highly talented musical family. It was recorded mostly in Curitiba and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The recording sessions brought together many of Flora’s closest circle of musicians, including her husband Airto Moreira on percussion; José Neto on guitar; Flora’s daughter Diana Purim on vocals; and Celso Alberti on percussion.

The album was co-produced by Flora Purim and Roberta Cutolo with package photos by Mel Gabardo in Brazil and album front cover illustration by Gabriela Barbalho.
