NY Gypsy All-Stars featuring Ibrahim Maalouf are set to perform on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 10:30 PM at world music venue DROM.
Comprised of classically-trained maestros coming from the world’s most prestigious music conservatories, the New York Gypsy All-Stars play a high-energy combination of swinging salsa, irresistible bhangra and other genres.
The New York Gypsy All-Stars’ guest is renowned Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf. Born in Beirut in 1980, Ibrahim Maalouf is today the most popular instrumentalist on the French music scene. His work of mixing musical genres has been recognized all over the world for more than 15 years. Maalouf recently released “Queen of Sheba“, an album with African world music star Angelique Kidjo.
Another high profile concert at DROM will be delivered by celebrated vocalist Aynur Dogan on Sunday, July 31 at 7:00 PM. Aynur is one of the best known musicians from Turkey and a representative for the Kurdish people.
