“Echo” is the mesmerizing third album by a remarkable world music duo, harpist Catrin Finch (Wales) and kora player and singer Seckou Keita (Senegal).
The album celebrates the tenth anniversary of Catrin and Seckou’s extraordinary musical partnership that highlights the harp traditions of Europe and West Africa.
The beautiful melodies on “Echo” were extracted from the ‘tune bank’ the duo had collected during their numerous soundcheck jams in pre-COVID days. Others were incorporated from side-projects, a ballet score, TV commissions, festival collaborations, works-in-progress and experimentation. Catrin Finch and Seckou Keita took these exquisite tunes and skillfully added uplifting performances and masterful arrangements,
