Cherry Red has repressed the Bridget St. John 5-CD boxed titled “Dandelion Albums & BBC Recordings Collection“. This collection was originally released in 2018.
Discovered and supported by the late, great John Peel, Bridget St John was one of the UK’s leading folk voices of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Her style combined folk, psychedelia, and other influences.
This wide-ranging boxed set includes the three memorable albums recorded for Peel’s Dandelion label, plus live recordings and performances made for the BBC between 1968 and 1972.
The album set is packaged in mini LP sleeve replicas and the booklet includes memorabilia, and comprehensive sleeve notes.
The BBC material includes songs unavailable elsewhere and collaborations with the late great Kevin Ayers.
The set was compiled with the approval of Bridget herself.
