Hubby Jenkins to Perform Old Time and Blues Concert August 11

The Hubby Jenkins is set to perform a half-hour concert in the Folklife Concerts’s Homegrown at Home series. The concert will take place August 11, 2021 at noon Eastern time.

Multi-instrumentalist is deeply influenced by old-time American music. he was born and grew up in Brooklyn, New York and explored his southern roots.

Throughout the years, Hubby Jenkins has become one of the leading African American performers of traditional American music. He was one of the core members of the influential Carolina Chocolate Drops and later a member of Rhiannon Giddens band.

Currently, Jenkins shares his knowledge and love of old-time American music through his captivating solo performances and workshops. He also has a solo album titled Hubby Jenkins.
