Norwegian composer, songwriter, vocalist and kantele player Sinikka Langeland continues to deliver delightful and mesmerizing music with her new album, Wolf Rune. The solo recording features kantele and vocals and is rooted in traditional music and lovely ethereal sounds.
Wolf Rune demonstrates how you can make extremely beautiful and spellbinding music with just two musical instruments, the kantele (lap harp from Finland and Karelia) and the human voice. The majority of the songs are gorgeous originals composed by Sinikka Langeland although she also recreates a handful of traditional rune songs and hymns in her captivating, dreamtime music style.
