Significant Anthology from English Folk Master

Rod Stradling – Treacle & Bread (Ghosts From The Basement, 2021)

This 21-track anthology introduces the listener to one of the most important figures in English folk music in the past decades, melodeon virtuoso Rod Stradling. The collection includes tracks spanning 5 decades, featuring tunes from all his influential bands and his only solo album, released 30 years ago.

Rod Stradling co-founded five major bands within the English roots music scene over the past five decades: Oak from the early 1970s, The Old Swan Band from the mid-1970s, the English Country Blues Band from the early 1980s, and both Tiger Moth and Edward II & The Red Hot Polkas from the mid-late 1980s.
