Longital – Longital Suita (Sinko Records, 2016)

Longital Suita (Longital Suite) is a captivating album from Bratislava band Longital. The group is well-known is Slovakia for its combination of various musical styles, including folk music, classical, jazz, rock, electronica and poetry. On Longital Suita, the group collaborated with a chamber string orchestra featuring arrangements by composer and violist Slavo Solovic.

Another characteristic of Longital is that they sing exclusively in Slovak, expressing messages of love, freedom and the natural world.

Longital Suita is a highly expressive album that is gentle and powerful. The introduction of the strings is spectacular, injecting inventive contemporary classical elements and Slovak influences.

Lineup: Shina on electric bass, bowed electric bass, and vocals; Daniel Salontay on guitars, bowed guitar, and vocals; and Marián Slávka on piano and drums.
