This album presents the music of Algerian musician Bellemou Messaoud, known as the father of modern rai music.
Messaoud was the great innovator in rai music. He added new musical, instruments, including the trumpet and also incorporated western, Latin music and reggae into rai. Mesaaoud accompanied some of the greatest rai singers as well.
