Leo Rowsome

Leo Rowsome was born April 5, 1903. He was a man of many talents. Piper extraordinary, pipe maker, performer, teacher and household name in the 20th century.

Tommy McCarthy, a County Clare man and piper himself, once said to Sean Connolly: ‘Leo Rowsome was playing and making pipes when nobody else wanted to.

He died on September 20, 1970.
