Carmen Souza Releases Live at Lagny Jazz Festival

After traveling the globe presenting her studio album “Kachupada” (2012), Portuguese singer Carmen Souza releases now a live album recorded with her quartet on October 13, 2013 at Lagny Jazz Festival in France.

The live album will be released today on CD+DVD (Galileo / Harmonia Mundi) in France. This will be followed by a German release in February and North American release date of March 27. Live at Lagny Jazz Festival features 3 bonus new songs recorded in studio, never released before on record; the full concert DVD plus extra behind-the-scenes footage, interview EPK and music videos of ‘Donna Lee’ and ‘6 on na Tarrafal’.

Carmen Souza was born in Lisbon to Cape Verdean parents. Her highly successful formula combines her unique jazz vocal approach with West African rhythms.
