Flamenco Singer Esperanza Fernández to Present Today her Tribute to Saramago, `Mi voz en tu palabra’

Flamenco cantaora (vocalist) Esperanza Fernández will present today Mi voz en tu palabra (My voice in your words), a tribute to the poetry of Portuguese Nobel prize winner José Saramago. The concert will take place today, November 26th at 21:00 (9 pm) at Teatro Fernán Gómez Centro de Arte-Sala Guirau, in Madrid

Her band features guitarists Miguel Ángel Cortés and Eduardo Trassierra, Yelsi Heredia on bass; Jorge Aguilar and José Fernández on percussion, palmas and backing vocals; Ismael de la Rosa on vocals and palmas; and dancer Sonia Olla. Pianist Dorantes is the musical director.

Esperanza Fernández was born in Sevilla in 1966. Her vocal style follows the tradition of Pinini de Lebrija and Cagancho de Triana dynasties. Esperanza’s discography includes Esperanza Fernandez and Recuerdos.
