The Indian Core
The Indian Core (Grappa/Mystica)
This is an ambitious album released by the east-west fusion band based in Norway called The Indian Core. The 6 tracks span over an hour of jazz-rooted music. The lineup includes the musicians Kjetil Moster on saxophone, Erlen Slettevoll on piano, Kanchman Babbar on flutes, Fateh Alo on sitar and Prasenjit Misra on tabla.
Our picks include the tracks Punjab Blues and Tarana. The piece Agra is also worth a mention.
