WOMEX’s long-time partner for the Film Screenings IMZ, the International Music + Media Centre in Vienna, asks all world music-related filmmakers to propose their recent work for presentation at WOMEX. WOMEX 2011 will be held Wednesday October 26 through Sunday October 30, 2011, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Last year IMZ received 50 submissions for 14 screening slots. Film proposals are independently juried by the IMZ.
Submitted films will also be considered for the World Music Films On Tour program, a non-profit distribution project aimed at bringing musical diversity in film and video to a wider public.
The deadline is Friday, April 15, 2011
