Irish folk band Téada has established itself as one of the finest acts in the new wave of Irish traditional music. Their 2010 release, Ceol & Cuimhne (Music & Memory) continues the exploration of Irish traditional music extracted from various sources, including Irish field recordings and manuscripts as well as sources from the Irish diaspora in the United States. Ceol & Cuimhne presents a collection of dazzling reels and jigs as well as a polka and a beautiful air.
The young musical wizards in the band are: band leader Oisín Mac Diarmada (fiddle), Paul Finn (button accordion), Damien Stenson (flutes), Seán McElwain (bouzouki/guitar), and Tristan Rosenstock (bodhrán).
