Frankie’s Mambo El Ritmo Diablo Documentary

New York City, USA – Frankie’s Mambo: “El Ritmo Diablo“, is a 65 minute documentary focusing on a fledgling Latin dance company in New York City, fronted by a phenomenally talented dancer
Frankie Martinez. Born and raised in the projects of Queens (New York), Martinez, of Puerto Rican descent, is considered to be the world’s leading practitioner of Latin popular dance. A former champion martial-artist, Martinez started his dance career at 18 with the Eddie Torres Dancers, relatively late for a professional. He formed his own dance company in the year 2000, and within
months, thanks to his revolutionary vision, it was ranked among the top Latin dance companies in the world. Martinez has redefined the practice of salsa dancing by returning to the roots of Cuban rumba in its most authentic form and incorporating its movements into his teaching technique.

His company is comprised of dancers of various colors, ethnicities and socio-economic strata
whose love of Latin music and dance is the sole common denominator. The company has toured the world together and performed in Puerto Rico at the World Salsa Congress. The documentary features generous amounts of exciting and colorful dance footage, thanks to the participation of performers from all over the world.
