Worldstock 2005 – "A World of Music in Los Angeles\"

Los Angeles, California, USA – Worldstock 2005 is an all-day celebration of music, art, and culture produced by the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) Ethnomusicology Undergraduate Student Organization (EUSO). The event includes swimming pools, delicious food, and nine bands playing music from all over the world, including California’s own reggae sensation Groundation. The festival is free. Featuring music from:
Africa – Star Afrisound
Asia – UCLA Korean Drum Ensemble
Europe – UCLA Bulgarian Women’s Choir & Balkan Jazz Ensemble
North America – UCLA Latin Jazz Ensemble, Boku, & Groundation
South America – BatUCLAda & Capoeira Batuque

Location: UCLA Sunset Canyon Recreation Center
Time: Saturday May 7, 2005 from 12 noon to 7pm

Do’s:
Bring swimsuits and towels for the pool, blankets for the lawn
Families encouraged
Picnic lunches are OK. Food will be available for purchase, too.

Don’ts:
No alcoholic beverages, glass bottles, umbrellas, lawn chairs, sharp knives or
grills allowed.
Sunset Recreation Center is a non-smoking venue.
