On June 4, 2025, the Spanish Music Academy held its second annual awards ceremony, where Karmento received the award for Best Folk Album for her latest release, La Serrana.
Inspired by the women of her hometown, Bogarra (Albacete) and her own sense of identity, La Serrana explores Karmento’s rural roots through a combination of tradition and modernity. Across ten tracks, the album draws from the sounds of the Sierra del Segura, skillfully interwoven with contemporary elements under the production of Joel Condal.
Looking ahead, Karmento will continue touring throughout Spain while also working on new collaborations. In early 2026, she plans to bid farewell to La Serrana with a final concert tour before beginning work on new material.
