Stenkes Kapitány – Aurora Hungarica (2026)

Hungarian folktronica act Stenkes Kapitány has released Aurora Hungarica, an alluring four-track EP that meshes together traditional Hungarian folk music with electronics and hooky pop.

The EP features vocalist Krámli Kinga on all four tracks. The singer, widely recognized within Hungary’s contemporary folk scene, returns to new recorded material after a period of relative absence.

Throughout the EP, Stenkes Kapitány combines traditional melodies, archival folk melodies, and organic instrumentation with groove-oriented electronica.

The recordings also feature bass contributions from Eged Márton of Transform Quintet and Bordás Péter of Romano Drom.
