The 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
Nominees for Best Traditional World Music Album include Gyuto Monks Of Tibet, Mali’s Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba, the Soweto Gospel Choir, Mali’s Ali Farka Touré & Toumani Diabaté, and tango act Vayo.
The artists nominated for Best Contemporary World Music Album include American banjo player Béla Fleck, Brazilian vocalist Bebel Gilberto, Afropop star Angelique Kidjo, veteran Brazilian musician Sergio Mendes, and Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon.
Presenters for the show GRAMMY include Zac Brown, actor Eva Longoria, actor and singer Jennifer Lopez, singer Ricky Martin, Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, actor and singer Matthew Morrison, television and radio host Ryan Seacrest, actor Jason Segel, Keith Urban, and will.i.am, have been.
The 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards will include performances by Afro-Colombian hip-hop trio ChocQuibTown; blues musician Buddy Guy; singer/songwriter Cyndi Lauper; American roots musician Maria Muldaur; contemporary blues artist Kenny Wayne Shepherd; trombone and trumpet player Trombone Shorty; legendary gospel and soul singer Mavis Staples; jazz musician Kirk Whalum; and R&B singer/songwriter and GRAMMY winner Betty Wright.
