The SGAE Foundation to Support a New Edition of ‘Flamenco de Club’ in Madrid

The Territorial Council of the SGAE in Madrid, through the SGAE Foundation, is set to collaborate once more with the sixth edition of the Flamenco de Club Festival, which will be hosted at the historic Café Berlin in Madrid. The series will run from November 3 to November 25, 2023. The series, which is a milestone in the city’s flamenco scene, was presented at the SGAE headquarters in Madrid.

Flamenco de Club has stood out for its unwavering support for the creative freedom of artists and its closeness to the public, creating a unique space where passion and flamenco art flourish without limits.

The first two shows, dedicated to the legendary producer and founder of the influential Nuevos Medios label, Mario Pacheco, will be performed by Pepe Habichuela and Josemi Carmona (Friday the 3rd); and by Juan José Suárez “Paquete”; Pepe Luis Carmona Habichuela and other historical artists from Nuevos Medios (Saturday 4).

On November 10 and 11, there will be evenings full of flamenco passion and wisdom, with shows by Pedro “El Granaíno” and José Maya, respectively. Subsequently, the festival will highlight the disruptive and innovative projects of Antonio Serrano, Antonio Sánchez, José del Tomate and Paloma Fantova (Friday the 17th), as well as the 3 Golpes by Tomás de Perrate (Saturday the 18th).

The culmination will be prominent female flamenco artists: on Friday the 24th, Montse Cortés, María Carmona and María Vizarraga will form a powerful circle accompanied by the guitar of Joni Jiménez. On Saturday the 25th, dancer Patricia Guerrero will close the festival with her Proceso eterno (Eternal Process) creation.
