Jasdeep Singh Degun - Live at Real World

EP Release by Jasdeep Singh Degun: A Masterful Fusion of Indian Tradition and Innovation

Jasdeep Singh Degun, a virtuoso sitarist and composer, is set to embark on a highly anticipated tour in support of his groundbreaking debut album, Anomaly. In anticipation of this tour, Degun has recently unveiled an EP titled Jasdeep Singh Degun – Live at Real World, recorded at the prestigious Real World Studios, renowned for hosting illustrious figures in world music. This EP, available across various digital platforms, presents stripped-down, acoustic renditions of select compositions from Degun’s album.

Reflecting on the experience of recording at the legendary Real World Studios, Jasdeep Singh Degun shares his profound gratitude, remarking, “I found immense joy in the process of recording this EP at such a revered establishment. Growing up, I was exposed to tales of numerous eminent Indian classical musicians who had graced Real World Studios with their artistry, including the likes of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Sri U Srinivas, and the Sabri brothers. To be able to record in the same hallowed space as these luminaries is truly surreal. I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to bring together my ensemble of musicians and record in this idyllic setting.”

Jasdeep Singh Degun’s highly anticipated Anomaly tour is set to commence on the 17th of May at the Howard Assembly Room in his hometown of Leeds. From there, the tour will traverse various cities throughout the remainder of May and early June, captivating audiences in Norwich, Nottingham, Southampton, Manchester, and Liverpool. Additionally, Degun will grace the stage at Rotterdam’s premier performing arts center, De Doelen, in the Netherlands.
