Ananta - Infinity Live

Ananta’s Amalgamation of Western and Indian Classical Traditions

Ananta – Infinity Live (2023)

On Infinity Live, world fusion ensemble Ananta expertly intertwines Indian and Western classical music to create a distinctive sound and repertoire. The quartet performs a wide range of moving and captivating compositions from both traditions, including works by JacobTV, Simeon ten Holt, Mussorgsky, Manuel de Falla, and traditional Indian ragas and tabla repertoire. Additionally, the pieces selected also include flavorful Spanish and middle Eastern influences.

Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Ananta continued to bring live music to audiences, performing in some of the largest cathedrals in the Netherlands. These live recordings present the energy and emotion of their performances in these sacred spaces and provide a safe haven for people to connect through music.

Musicians: Emmy Storms on violin; Lenneke van Staalen on Indian violin; Cynthia Liem on piano and vocals; and Heiko Dijker on tabla.
