“Umuduri & Ikinyuguri: Songs from Rwanda” present the songs of Iyakaremye & Iyamuremye, a duo from Kigali, Rwanda. The two musicians play traditional Rwandan music using vocals and two acoustic folk instruments, the umuduri musical bow and the ikinyuguri rattle.
Justin Iyakaremye and Eric Iyamuremye’s family names are very similar, and both can be translated as “God knows him”.
Sadly, Justin Iyakaremye passed away one year after the recording was made.
