Africa Oyé Launches Online Music Workshops for Children

African music festival Africa Oyé has launched a series of online music workshops for children. The first set of workshops in 2021 features two talented Cameroonian artists; a percussion session with celebrated drummer, Guy Nwogang, and a vocal masterclass from singer, Valérie Ekoumé.

For over 17 years, the festival team has worked closely with local schools and community centers in their annual outreach program, the Oyé ‘Learning and Participation’ project. While pandemic restrictions have meant the workshops have had to move online this year, it means a much bigger audience will now be able to take part, via Oyé’s social media pages.
