Brazilian singer-songwriter, composer and guitarist Carla Hassett has a captivating voice, sometimes dynamic, sometimes sultry. She has performed as a vocalist with Sergio Mendes, Caetano Veloso, Billy Idol and Natalie Cole. However, she is also a highly talented solo vocalist. Born in Sao Paulo, she currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

On her alluring album “+Blue” Hassett incorporates a wide range of Brazilian tropical rhythms along with American soul, rock, jazz and other influences. Most of the songs are performed in her native Portuguese-language although a couple of tracks feature English-language vocals. On several of the songs, Carla uses beautifully-crafted vocal layers.
