Israeli singer-songwriter and guitarist David Broza has announced the release of the single “Tears for Barcelona.” The track, scheduled for release on May 1, 2020, is meant as a tribute to the people across Cataluña and throughout Spain. Broza indicated: “With today’s apocalyptic global pandemic, the melody plays into the larger story. I hope the piece will register and be soothing to many hearts.”
“Tears for Barcelona” is the first single from his new album “en Casa Limón,” set for release on September 18th, 2020 on S-Curve Records/BMG. The album, produced by Grammy-award winner Spanish producer Javier Limón, is Broza’s first all-instrumental guitar album. Broza is a longtime fan of the Spanish guitar and has incorporated many styles of flamenco, jazz, classical into his performance repertoire.
The album was recorded at the Casa Limón Studios in Madrid, Spain, a “magical place” where some of the world’s greatest guitarists, including Paco de Lucia and Tomatito, recorded their albums.
