Silver Spring, USA – The North American Folk Alliance will be having a world music showcase again in 2002. It is accepting showcase applications for the 14th Annual International Folk Alliance Conference in Jacksonville, Florida, February 21-24, 2002. The postmark deadline is June 2, 2001, so you have about a month to prepare your application package.Application forms are available to download from the Folk Alliance website (www.folk.org) or they’ll be glad to mail or fax you one if you call the office at (301) 588-8185.
In Jacksonville the showcases will take place at the beautiful and historic Florida Theatre, one block from the Adams Mark, the conference hotel. Be sure and indicate the appropriate category for your submission on the application form: world music.
