Cubadisco 2001 Trade Show in Havana

Havana, Cuba – Cuban “trova” music will be the focus at the 5th Cubadisco 2001 International Fair, to be held on May 16-20 in Havana, with an explosion of  “sones”, “rumbas” and songs at the widest expression of Cuban music. The most important event for Cuban record companies, a unique opportunity for those who are interested in Cuban music throughout the world, will be also dedicated to the Brazilian music. Some of the highlights of the trade show will be the performances by Brazilian legends Cuarteto Jobim Morelembaum, Rosa Passos, Iván Lins, Guinga and Zé Paulo; the presentation of  Compay Segundo’s biography, and a benefit CD recorded by Spanish and Argentine artists to support Cuban music schools.
