The SGAE Foundation has put together a new edition of the Flamencos y mestizos series. The showcases begin today and will run until December 17. The performances will take place at Sala Berlanga in Madrid.
The set of showcases will feature singers Eduardo Barbero, Francisco Escudero ‘El Perrete’, ‘El Ingueta Rubio’, Alfredo Tejada; the dance of María José Franco, Natalia del Mar ‘La Serrata’ and Fernando Jiménez Torres, and the Christmas zambomba ‘ Navidad Cantaora’.
Flamencos y mestizos is a showcase series created to offer a window to emerging artists who explore the border between deep flamenco and mestizo flamenco through compositions, dance and cante (song). This is the sixth installment of this series, directed by producer, composer and singer Paco Ortega.
