La Negra

Flamenco artist Amparo Velasco, better known as La Negra, was born and raised in Alicante (Spain).

La Negra Flamenco has worked with acclaimed flamenco artists José Mercé and Vicente Amigo. She mixes jazz, African beats and Latin groooves with flamenco roots.

In 2006 she released her self-titled debut album, “La negra”, produced by influential musician Javier Limón.
