Celebrated Irish Musician Mick Moloney to visit the Cuban National School of Arts

Irish multi-instrumentalist and scholar Mick Moloney, a leading figure in the world of Irish Traditional Music, will visit the Cuban National School of Arts, (Escuela Nacional de las Artes) on November 23, 2015. He will teach an interactive workshop for students and professors.

Moloney will be accompanied by other significant musicians and artists, including accordionist William Andrew McComiskey, violinist Athena Tergis Bollag, guitarist and vocalist Robert Michael O´Connell and Irish dance professor and dancer Daniel Niall O´Leary.

This visit is part of the cultural program Fiesta de música y tradiciones celtas en Cuba (Celtic music and traditions festival in Cuba) that will be celebrated in Havana from November 20 to 23.

The event is sponsored by the Cuban Institute of Music, the Adolfo Guzman Music and Show Company, the Irish Embassy and the Ministry of Culture of Ireland.

Moloney and his band will perform a concert at the Fábrica de Arte Cubano on November 23 at 21:00 (9:00 pm).
