Belgian Festival Couleur Café Announces First Names for 2013 Edition

Renowned Belgian festival Couleur Café announced the first 7 names of artists scheduled to perform this year. Couleur Café takes place June 28-30 of 2013. The festival will feature reggae, soul, funk, R&B, trip hop, Balkan, punk, hip hop and even Tex Mex.

Performers:

Calexico: Every time they come to Belgium, they play to a full house. Joey Burns, John Convertino and their band will enlighten Couleur Café for the very first time with their fine blend of Rootsrock, Tex-Mex and Mariachi trumpets.

Jimmy Cliff: This Grammy Award winning Reggae legend will present his latest album Rebirth as well as the countless hit songs.

Nneka: Shining Star was the major breakthrough for this German-Nigerian vocalist. Her sweet voice combines r&b, reggae, and soul.

Tarrus Riley: The reggae revelation of the moment, famous for his beautiful melodies and soulful voice.

Balkan Beat Box: Famous for delighting their crowd with an infectious mix of Balkan, Gypsy punk and electronica.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis: These guys are at the top of the American billboards and European charts with their catchy hit single Thrift Shop. They are part of a new hip hop generation defending gay rights and recycling.

Wax Tailor: French hip and trip hop phenomenon with 3 albums and more than 400 shows in 50 different countries to his credit.
