Nita Introduces Magma With New Single “Milagro 18:08”

Spanish artist Nita has unveiled “Milagro 18:08,” the first preview of Magma, her upcoming debut solo album. The flamenco-infused electronic record, produced alongside Bronquio, marks a new stage for the Córdoba-born singer after years at the forefront of Fuel Fandango.

Nita describes Magma as the most personal project of her career. According to the artist, the album draws from her Andalusian roots and from a deeply introspective creative process. The title references the force of magma emerging from beneath the earth, an image that inspired the emotional direction of the record.

“Milagro 18:08” holds particular significance within the project. Nita explains that the song became the foundation of the album and reflects a transformative experience in nature, where themes connected to the earth, spirituality, and motherhood affected the writing process.

Born into a family of musicians and dancers in Córdoba, Nita grew up surrounded by flamenco and copla traditions. Her grandfather, Manuel Manjón Campos, performed as a clarinetist and saxophonist alongside artists such as Antonio Machín and Juanito Valderrama. Consequently, Nita began performing on stage at an early age before expanding into other musical styles.

Years later, those influences led to the creation of Fuel Fandango, where she served as singer, songwriter, and creative force for more than 15 years. The band released five studio albums and developed a multidisciplinary approach that combined music, visual identity, costume design, and stage production.

Her career has also included collaborations with artists such as Estrella Morente, Vicente Amigo, Mala Rodríguez, Iván Ferreiro, Macaco, and Amadou & Mariam. In 2020, Origen reached No. 1 on the Spanish albums chart.

More recently, Nita joined the 2025 Madrid production of Chavela, where she portrayed Chavela Mito and paid tribute to the legacy of Chavela Vargas.
