Wolverlei – Wolverlei (Pan Records, 2024)
Originally released as an LP by Stoof on the Munich Records label in 1978 (MU 7445), Wolverlei’s album, Wolverlei, is now reissued as a CD by Pan Records in 2024, retaining the original catalog number 7445.
This landmark LP played a significant role in the folk revival of The Netherlands. Wolverlei skillfully mixed traditional and contemporary Dutch language repertoire, appealing to a broad audience through a mix of engaging, finely crafted folk music and rock.
The album received highly positive reviews and still sounds as fresh today as it did in 1978. In hindsight, Wolverlei is recognized as one of the most important bands of the Dutch folk revival of the late 1970s.
