The cover of Sentencia by Quentin Gas & Los Zíngaros features a psychedelic, abstract flame-like design in vivid yellow, orange, and green against a deep purple background.

Guilty of Reinvention: Quentin Gas Reopens the Case of Sentencia

Spanish band Quentin Gas & Los Zíngaros revisit Sentencia, a psychedelic flamenco bulería originally featured on their acclaimed 2024 album El Mundo Se Quema. This time, the track is reinterpreted and produced by Iñigo Bregel (Los Estanques), who brings a fresh sound rooted in flamenco and progressive rock.

The release reaffirms the ongoing impact of El Mundo Se Quema, which continues to resonate months after its debut. Most recently, the album was nominated for Best Folk Album at the 2025 Premios MIN, Spain’s indie awards.

Originally conceived as a tribute to filmmaker David Lynch, Sentencia now returns with renewed energy. Bregel’s production bridges tradition and experimentation, placing the song within the lineage of Andalusian rock while highlighting one of the most compelling tracks in the group’s catalog.
