Renowned qawwali group Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali will tour the UK in May 2025 in support of their new album, At the Feet of the Beloved, set for release on 14 March via Real World Records. Presented by the Asian Arts Agency, the tour includes key performances such as a headline show at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 18 May, closing the South Asian Sounds festival, and a stop at Bradford’s City of Culture celebrations on 14 May. Additional dates include Birmingham Town Hall and Bristol Beacon.

Led by brothers Rizwan and Muazzam Ali Khan, nephews of the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the group will present new material from their upcoming release alongside selections from Chain of Light, a previously unreleased Nusrat album discovered 34 years after its recording and issued in 2024.

Known for their powerful vocal delivery and mastery of the qawwali tradition, Rizwan and Muazzam have been performing together since the late 1990s. Signed to Real World Records, the duo has built an international following through acclaimed albums like A Better Destiny and Day of Colours and performances at major venues including the Barbican, WOMAD festivals worldwide, and North America’s leading concert halls.

At the Feet of the Beloved features four tracks, two in Urdu and two in Punjabi, exploring themes of love, devotion, and spiritual longing. One of the Punjabi tracks includes an original composition, marking a significant step in the brothers’ evolution of the qawwali tradition. Recorded in their home studio in Pakistan, the album aims to offer both contemporary and timeless interpretations of qawwali’s devotional essence.

Ahead of the album’s release, the group has shared “Yaar Da Muhallah,” along with a live performance video filmed at Real World Studios. The track embodies the ecstatic intensity of qawwali, where divine love and human passion intertwine, as heard in the lyric: “I have dyed my heart in the beloved’s hue.”

At the Feet of the Beloved will be available on CD, LP, and digital formats. Full UK tour details can be found on the Asian Arts Agency’s website.
