WOMEX, organized by Piranha Arts in collaboration with Rockadillo Production Oy, has officially opened its call for proposals for the 31st edition of the event, scheduled for October 22–26, 2025, in Tampere, Finland. This annual gathering is a cornerstone of the world music community, fostering diverse artistic expression and professional collaboration.
Musicians, filmmakers, DJs, music producers, and industry professionals are invited to submit proposals in four categories: Showcase | Club Summit | Film | Conference. Submissions will be reviewed by an independent, international jury, with members to be announced soon. WOMEX encourages entries that highlight cultural diversity and inclusivity, spanning various genres, regions, and artistic traditions.
As a globally recognized platform, WOMEX bridges traditional and contemporary music styles, showcasing folk, roots, jazz, electronic, urban, and diaspora influences. Proposals are welcome from individuals and groups worldwide, with the aim of enriching the international music scene.
