Will Clark Reveals New Single, “Carolina Lightning”

Will Clark’s new single, “Carolina Lightning,” released under Mountain Fever Records and written by Mark Brinkman, presents a vivid narrative about a captivating woman who embodies both allure and turbulence. The lyrics paint a powerful picture of the storyteller’s pursuit, capturing the mix of beauty and chaos that defines her: “They call her Carolina Lightning, I’m caught in the eye of her storm; I’ve chased her all over town, that girl won’t settle down.”

With rich imagery and emotional depth, the song reflects Clark’s ability to tell a story that resonates with bluegrass music listeners.

Will Clark shared: “Carolina lighting was sent to me by Mark Brinkman and I listened to first couple of lines of this (she came in like lightning in a bottle) and instantly could relate and honestly felt it was almost like it was written for me to sing giving the circumstances of some things I was going through at the time. I chose this song as the title track for this project, seeing how it fit me so well and how much I love the song.”

Musicians: Will Clark on lead vocals and mandolin, Chevy Watson on guitar and tenor vocals, Gavin Stinson on bass and baritone vocals, Jason Davis on banjo, and Ron Stewart on fiddle. The track was engineered and mixed by Wes Easter, with mastering by Aaron Ramsey.
