Mason Via: A Rising Star in the Modern Bluegrass Scene

Mason Via, a skilled singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Danbury, North Carolina, has quickly become a prominent figure in bluegrass and Americana music. Following his debut album, New Horizons, with Mountain Fever Records, Via gained recognition within the American roots music scene.

Currently, he tours as the youngest member of Old Crow Medicine Show. Her contributed to their album Jubilee. His songwriting talent is also featured on Molly Tuttle’s Grammy-winning album, City of Gold, with “Down Home Dispensary”; and on Del McCoury’s Almost Proud, with “Brown Paper Bag.”

Via’s music combines Appalachian folk, funk, blues, and Americana, creating a distinct mix within modern bluegrass. He has performed across 47 U.S. states and internationally in Canada, Ireland, the UK, and the Netherlands.

Notable performances include Red Rocks, The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, and London’s O2 Arena for C2C Fest. He has shared the stage with icons like Willie Nelson, Dierks Bentley, Sierra Ferrell, Steve Earle, and Gov’t Mule, among others, further cementing his influence and reach in the genre.
