Del McCoury was named Entertainer of the Year at the 35th Annual International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Bluegrass Music Awards, held on September 26, 2024, at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The event, co-hosted by John Cowan and Missy Raines, also celebrated Molly Tuttle, who took home Album of the Year. Additionally, Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame inductees Katy Daley, Jerry Douglas, and Alan Munde were recognized with special honors for their contributions to the bluegrass music genre.
