World Music Institute Unveils 2024-25 Fall-Winter Season

The World Music Institute  (WMI) will celebrate 39 years in New York City with a fresh roster of artists and shows for their 2024-25 Fall-Winter Season. This season begins on August 16th with a free show at Bryant Park featuring New York City-based Natu Camara and Samir LanGus.

Other highlights include Sofia Rei’s groundbreaking “Folk & Futurism” collaboration with Gaby Moreno, Xenia Rubinos, Daymé Arocena, Mireya Ramos, Charo Bogarín, and Juana Luna; the U.S. debut of Pakistan’s internet sensation Ustad Noor Bakhsh, the return of Marc Ribot’s beloved Los Cubanos Postizos; and a 90th birthday celebration of South African jazz legend Abdullah Ibrahim.
